Our Story
New Hope Church was planted in 1994 when a group of believers from Fairland Brethren in Christ Church stepped out in faith to start a new congregation in the Paxtonia, Pennsylvania area. We began with humble beginnings, meeting in a local middle school, and in 2014 we moved into our current building — just recently celebrating 30 years of God’s faithfulness (and our 20th anniversary in the new facility).From the very beginning, our purpose has been simple: to meet people wherever they are in life and help them take the next step in their faith journey. Today, Hope Church is a vibrant, multi-generational congregation made up of people from many different backgrounds — Catholic, Baptist, Mennonite, Methodist, Lutheran, Charismatic, and more.Our MissionGuiding people to a personal faith in Jesus Christ, teaching them His ways, and empowering them to make disciples by serving the local and global community.Our VisionBringing the Healing Hope of Jesus to broken people next door and around the world.What We DoEvery Sunday at 10:00 AM we gather for worship and teaching in a blended style that mixes traditional and contemporary music. All ages and backgrounds are warmly welcomed. Throughout the week we offer home-based focus groups for Bible study and fellowship, spanning from young adults to senior citizens. Wednesday evenings are especially busy with dynamic children’s and youth ministries (through high school).We are actively involved in our community through regular outreach events such as flea markets, movie nights, pancake suppers, feeding the homeless, and partnering with the Christmas Stocking ministry. Our children’s ministry supports the local pregnancy center, and our youth participate in an annual fasting and service project to meet practical needs in the area. Our large multi-purpose facility is used every day of the week for music lessons, volleyball, basketball, and a homeschool co-op that meets two days a week.We also have a heart for global missions. We regularly send individuals on short-term trips and fully support one of our own who is now serving as a missionary in India.Whether you are exploring faith for the first time or looking to grow deeper, you will find a welcoming place to belong, grow, and serve at New Hope Church.
